Traditional Hatha Yoga for Nervous System Regulation & Lasting Transformation.
Hi, my name is Vera
I live in Vienna, I teach Yoga online & in-person.
My mission is to share authentic yoga from India and Tibet in a way that is both traditional and accessible. I combine ancient wisdom with science-backed tools and nervous system regulation to support lasting transformation, balance, and well-being.Traveling to India in 2022 and diving depper into yoga philosophy and practice completely transformed my perspective on life. What started as curiosity slowly became a path of self-discovery, healing, and connection - ultimately turning my world upside down in the most beautiful way…

WHY Traditional Hatha Yoga?
In the Western world, yoga has often become synonymous with exercise - dynamic flows linked with the breath, flexibility, strength, and handstands. And while I also teach these kinds of classes, I don’t consider that the essence of yoga. The purpose of yoga, as described in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, is the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind (chitta vritti nirodha). It is a systematic path that helps us observe the mind more clearly, until we begin to recognize that we are not our thoughts, nor our physical body — but the awareness behind them. Patanjali outlines this process in an eightfold path, which was designed to guide practitioners toward greater clarity, stability, and ultimately liberation. I know... this may sound philosophical or abstract at first but its relevance becomes very tangible once you start the practice. I am aware that not everyone approaches yoga for spiritual insight - many seek relief from stress, mental clarity, or physical well-being. That’s the beauty of this system: it meets you where you are. You can engage with it on a purely physical level, or gradually explore its deeper dimensions over time. I have personally explored many approaches to support my mental wellbeing: from endurance sports, time in nature, psychotherapy - yet I often found myself circling the same inner patterns. Yoga unlocked what I was always searching for - a system that actually works and has the ability to transform.
Yoga was the first system that
truly worked for me
What makes traditional Hatha Yoga distinct is its therapeutic and nervous-system-centered approach. Postures are held for extended periods, allowing the body and mind to settle into deeper states of observation. Over time, this practice supports nervous system resilience, regulation, and an increased capacity to meet stress with awareness rather than reactivity. But it doesn’t end there - Yoga provides us with tools to work with our subconscious mind and you can only ever imagine what transformation is possible with this…
For me, yoga is not about fixing something. It is a process of building inner stability, trust, and awareness and over time, many of the problems we try to “solve” begin to lose their grip naturally. Yoga, in this sense, is not something you do on the mat. It is something that slowly reshapes the way you experience life.
Have I made you curious?
